Small acts of kindness go a long way. By volunteering to prepare food for our street friends, you can provide essential nourishment and comfort to those in need.
Every Friday, a small team of volunteers attend our Bayswater depot to make 500 fresh sandwiches, which are stored to be handed directly to those in need each weekend.

Homemade baked goods are adored by our street friends, who go without these comforts on a daily basis. We gratefully accept fresh donations of homemade cakes, slices, and other sweet treats. We do ask that any high risk allergens are noted on them, and that the items are individually packaged or wrapped for single serving distribution.
Our team greatly appreciates all the support we can get in sorting through donated items. By volunteering your time and lending a helping hand, you play a crucial role in efficiently managing our resources.
Every Wednesday, we have a busy bee at our depot to sort and process our donations. Long time volunteer Glenn co-ordinates these weekly events for us. Please feel free to drop in from 10am on a Wednesday to see how you can help.
Volunteers who offer their time and compassion can make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. By joining our outreach services team, you become a beacon of hope for those experiencing homelessness. Your presence, care, and support can bring comfort and reassurance to those who may feel unseen and unheard. Step forward and become a source of compassion and support in their lives. PHSG hosts outreach services on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings with regular volunteers, and Sunday mornings where we invite others to join us.

PHSG runs online auctions 3-4 times a year, Bunnings Sausage Sizzles sponsored by Bunnings Bayswater, and hosts an annual mid-year Quiz Night, which has become a popular event in our calendar. We accept donations of new and unwanted homewares, craft items, garden supplies, alcohol, cosmetics, vouchers and almost anything you can think of that might make a great prize! Contribute to our cause by volunteering to collect and transport donated items. Your vehicle and dedication can make a significant impact in expanding the reach of our aid, bringing hope and practical support to those who need it most. Our wonderful volunteer Louise assists us with deliveries and pick-ups every Wednesday.
