Code Of Practice

  1. I agree to represent the Perth Homeless Support Group Inc. with professionalism, dignity and pride, and be responsible for conducting myself with courtesy and appropriate behavior.
  2. I agree to contribute to a safe environment by not engaging in, encouraging or allowing discrimination, sexual harassment, physical force, verbal or mental abuse, neglect, bullying or other harmful actions to other volunteers or the homeless.
  3. I agree to conduct myself in a respectful manner, exhibit good conduct and be a positive role model to all volunteers and when dealing with the homeless.
  4. I agree to display respect and courtesy for other volunteers, homeless persons and property.
  5. I agree that when making public comment, I must clearly identify any views expressed are my own and not those of Perth Homeless Support Group Inc.
  6. I agree to maintain the privacy of fellow volunteers and the homeless people I encounter.
  7. I agree to obtain written permission to share their story or photo on social media before posting.
  8. Where a volunteer witnesses or becomes aware of conduct which, in the volunteer’s view, gives rise to a breach of the Code, the volunteer should contact the Team Leader, and the Team Leader will bring to the attention of Perth Homeless Support Group Inc’s committee.
  9. When attending ourSupport Service, I agree to attend the before and after Tool Box Meetings.
  10. When attending our Support Service, I agree to abide by the TeamLeader’s directions and decisions.
  11. I am aware of my obligations as outlined in this document and I agree that all personal responsibility lies with me.
  12. I agree to the above terms.
  13. I am over 18 years of age.
